The Miyawaki Nature Lab was founded by M. R. Hari, a promoter of the Miyawaki model for afforestation. It is managed and operated by the Agriculture and Ecosystem Management Group (AGES) at Pandit Colony, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala India. AGES is an independent non-profit organization established in 1992, specializing in providing practical solutions to integrate environmental sustainability with socio-economic development. The organization offers services such as afforestation, environmental impact assessments, GIS-based resource assessments, and consultancy on various environmental and agricultural issues. The program, which has received provisional accreditation as an observer to the UNCCD Conference of the Parties, aims to train individuals in ecological restoration and sustainable practices.
