Miyawaki Nature Lab – A Living Forest, A Learning Space

From Barren Land to Biodiversity Hotspot

Tucked away on a beautiful stretch of rocky land near a riverside, the Miyawaki Nature Lab is a living example of how quickly nature can bounce back when given the right support.

Back in 2018, this land was dry and barren, with fewer than 70 plant species. Today, it's home to nearly 1,000 plant species and has become a vibrant habitat for over 600 species of animals, birds, and insects — and the numbers keep growing.

This transformation has been made possible using the Miyawaki method — a powerful approach to rapid, native forest creation.

More than just a green space, the Nature Lab has become a learning hub. We host workshops and training programs on eco-restoration, biodiversity, sustainable living, and climate resilience. Whether you're a student, a nature enthusiast, or a sustainability professional, there's something here for everyone.

Come explore, learn, and be part of this journey towards a greener future.
